Hi,
Here are some points to take note of. Please take these down, it is extremely important and I will be testing you guys the next time I see you.
ParuparongPlease emphasize on the notes you have to emphasize, like the 'bu' in the first three bars, or the 'pa'/ 'rong'
Please take note of the 'at sak la' The first note is an F. So you have to figure out, somehow, how to go from a C to and F. We always are too flat at this note so practise and practise until you get it.
Similarly, for the 'paruparo-ouy', your RU and RO must be distinguishable. You have to have different vowels for both of them.
DO NOT slide your 'KO'
Joiku( yoo-ku)
Have fun with this song! You can slide in this song.. so please do...........
Your 'um-p-e-zi-ka-o-ou' must be STRONG. Do the tribal thing if you wish, it will help.
Two parts splits, higher part has to be using more support and make the sound richer, lower part has to be louder and stronger.
DYNAMICS!
The last part, remember, its loud soft loud soft SOFT loudddddddd
Take a quick deep breathe and hit the high D! You really have to use a lot of support for this or you will be out of tune.
Ant's summer:
VOWELS. Emphasized this plenty of times.
GET YOUR NOTE AND DON'T GET THROWN OFF! You get the note from C, to E Hence, you must have the note in your mind which means you can't think of anything else. Once you got it, be strong and sing it with confidence! WE CAN DO IT!!!!! :DDDDDD
It is our SOLO for bar 13, so sing it with pride and gusto! Also, the REST are very important!!! You must must must must cut at the correct intervals. Tempo and rythem are extremely important in this song.
Remember your 'do-ko' where you go from E E to G E to C G? YES, that is the one I am talking about. Please please please practise a lot on your own. You must be able to hit the notes correctly. Don't waver.
DYNAMICS.
Actually, there are a lot more problems but I will fill up like, three pages JUST talking about ant's summer alone. So yeah, I will stop here.
Love,
April
